I think you need to start a blog. Yes, you read that right. Maybe it sounds a little crazy, and like it’s easy for me to say since I have a blog. But I seriously think you can benefit in many unexpected ways from starting a blog, even if no one ever reads it. Here are the reasons why you need to start a blog this year.
THE BEST WAY TO GET BETTER AT SOMETHING IS TO TEACH OTHERS
I’m sure you’ve heard people say that the best way to get better at something is try to explain it and teach it to others.
That’s because it couldn’t be more true.
You don’t realize how well you really know (or don’t know) something until you have to explain it in depth to someone else.
Teaching others just makes you better. You learn to organize your thoughts and convey those thoughts in a way that makes sense to others.
When you teach others, you have to know your subject inside and out, forwards and backwards. Everyone processes information and learns differently.
If you’re able to teach all types of learners successfully, you definitely know your subject well.
This is why blogging is so beneficial. Even if no one else reads your blog, it makes you better at whatever it is you do.
Whether you’re a working professional wanting to get better in your field or you have a creative hobby you want to improve on, you need to start a blog.
